Valentine's Craft Ideas

With Valentine’s day approaching its time to get crafty to get you in the mood! Dive into our haberdashery department to pick up the supplies you need to create any of these DIY projects which will brighten up your home the whole year round!

First up we love this simple fabric heart garland, perfect if you’ve got fabric remnants to use up or pop in store to replenish your stock from our ever-changing collection.

This project can be altered to suit any ability. If you’re just starting out, we’d recommend simply creating a heart-shaped template and cutting as many hearts from your chosen fabrics as you like. Next cut a small slit at each side of the hearts to thread through a length of ribbon or string. Take a look at the image below to get the idea-it couldn’t be simpler!

If you’re wanting to take your project a step further you can make your hearts 3D by cutting out double the amount and adding stuffing. Take two of the fabric hearts and begin to sew them together along the edges until you have created a pouch. Add enough stuffing to fill the pouch and sew the remaining gap. Attach all of the hearts together, again using ribbon or string, in any style you like. Take a look at the designs below for a few ideas.
